Groovy Jam Sessions is an electronic music studio based in Portugal. It operates both as a YouTube radio station and as a physical space for DJs to create digital content. The studio provides professional equipment for mixing, photography, video recording, editing, and live streaming.

I was responsible for the visual identity and communication strategy, and am currently working as lead graphic designer and social media manager.

The main challenge was to establish a unique visual identity in an overcrowded niche. We wanted to reflect the studio’s dual personality: professional and high-quality, but also intimate, relaxed, and deeply connected to the cultural scene.

The project began with a clear definition of the brand’s voice, role in the cultural landscape, and growth ambitions. From this foundation, we created a strategy to differentiate Groovy Jam Sessions from competitors.

Design-wise, the goal was to build a brand with personality. We introduced a playful yet old-school logo, doubling as a mascot, to represent the studio’s groovy and approachable spirit. Since the studio also offers photography and videography, the communication system relies heavily on high-quality imagery to capture its dynamic and authentic essence.

The result is a distinctive and memorable identity that positions Groovy Jam Sessions as a unique player in the Portuguese cultural scene. The studio has successfully launched, gained steady attention, and continues to grow, filming artists and investing in local talent.

Beyond design and communication, I also collaborate closely on broader aspects of the project, including management and strategy, ensuring that the brand vision remains consistent at every level.
