About Me
Hello! I’m Patricia Madaleno, a portuguese graphic designer.
My academic background is rooted in Visual Arts and Design, which I studied at the University of Aveiro. If you’d like a deeper look at my journey, feel free to explore my LinkedIn profile.
From a young age, I’ve been deeply drawn to the arts — from painting and crafts to music and visual storytelling. However, as I grew older, I realized that being an “artist” in the traditional sense wasn’t quite my path. That’s when I discovered graphic design — a discipline that felt like home. It allowed me to express creativity with a purpose: solving problems through structured visual communication. It gave form to both my artistic inclinations and my logical mindset.
I am specialized in branding and editorial design, and I also develop communication strategies, and manage social media for my clients. My work goes beyond creating visuals: it’s about building a clear tone of voice, designing content that reflects each brand’s identity, and ensuring consistency across platforms.
From planning and strategy to design and channel management, I help brands communicate with clarity and authenticity, while engaging their audiences in meaningful ways.
Every design project begins with one key step: understanding. I invest time in truly listening to my clients — their goals, their values, their vision. I see my role as a tool that brings their ideas to life with purpose and clarity.
Once I’ve gathered the necessary information, I develop a strategic framework that guides the entire creative process. Each decision I make — whether visual, functional, or emotional — follows the logic of this plan, ensuring coherence and impact.
Feedback and revisions are an essential part of that process. I don’t take them personally; instead, I see them as opportunities to refine and improve. After all, design isn’t about self-expression alone — it’s about creating visual solutions that solve real problems and elevate a brand’s presence in the world.
I work primarily with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and After Effects. I also use Figma for digital design and interface projects. My versatility allows me to move fluidly across different formats and platforms, adapting to the needs of each client and brief.
I’m particularly drawn to both scientific and artistic industries. At first glance, they may seem like opposites — one driven by structure and precision, the other by freedom and creativity. But for me, they reflect two equally important sides of who I am: the analytical thinker and the expressive creator. I love the challenge of navigating those differences to craft work that is not only beautiful, but also strategic and effective.
When I’m not designing, you’ll usually find me unplugged — walking in nature, reading, or creating something with my hands. Spending time outdoors is my way of recharging and reconnecting with inspiration. Nature is, after all, the original designer — full of patterns, textures, and solutions that fuel my creative thinking.
